The Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU) of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), has ushered in the year 2025 with prayers for the advancement of the University and its union leaders and members’ families. The prayer session took place at the NASU Secretariat during the union’s first congress of the year on January 13, 2025.

In his address to the members, the union’s Chairman, Comrade Samson Edvri, expressed his gratitude to members for their unwavering support throughout the past year. He also appreciated the national leaders of the union and past leaders of NASU-FUNAAB.

Comrade Isiaq Odunjo, the former chairman of the NASU-FUNAAB Chapter, thanked God for sparing members’ lives and appreciated every member for their loyalty to the union. He charged them to remain steadfast in the struggle for the union.

Prayers were offered for the leaders of the union at the national, state, and branch levels, as well as for FUNAAB Management and Governing Council, and the families of all NASU-FUNAAB members.

The highlight of the day was the presentation of ₦20,000 financial support to children of 15 union members to help with their school fees for the new session. Mr. Simeon Sodelola, on behalf of the benefiting parents, thanked the union for its support towards members’ welfare.
