The Nigerian Association of University Women (NAUW), Abeokuta Chapter, is gearing up to host a celebration in honour of the International Women’s Day.

In an official memo released by the Association’s President, Prof. Emily Ayo-John, the event is scheduled to take place on Friday, March 8, 2024, at the Green Chamber, commencing at 9:00 a.m.

The memo further disclosed that esteemed personalities including the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, would grace the occasion as the Special Guest of Honour.

Prof. Kehinde is expected to deliver a speech alongside other prominent dignitaries in attendance.

The International Women’s Day serves as a global platform to celebrate the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women, while also advocating for gender equality and women’s rights.

NAUW’s forthcoming event promises to be a significant tribute to the achievements and contributions of women within the academic and broader community.
