The President of the Nigerian Association of University Women (NAUW), Abeokuta Chapter, Dr. (Mrs.) Comfort Onifade, has felicitated with members of NAUW and female members of the University Community on the International Women’s Day.
The President, in a statement on her behalf, by the Financial Secretary of NAUW, Rev. (Mrs.) Elizabeth Adeyemo, said that the International Women’s Day is celebrated all over the world on the 8th of March, in appreciation of Women.
The President, however, stated that this year’s celebration was low-keyed because it coincided with the first semester examination of the University, but expressed her best wishes to Management, staff and students of the University in commemoration of the celebration.
