The Nigerian Institute of Landscape Horticulturists (NILH), is set to honour the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), and its 4th Substantive Vice-Chancellor, Professor Oluwafemi Olaiya Balogun during its 16th National Conference and Annual General Meeting (AGM).
The event, scheduled for Tuesday, November 21, 2023, will take place at the Centre of Excellence in Agricultural Development and Sustainable Environment (CEADESE), Building.
FUNAAB would receive the esteemed Institutional Recognition Award in appreciation of its outstanding contributions to the promotion of the Professional Practice of Landscape Horticulture.
Besides, Professor Balogun would be honoured with the Distinguished Personality Award for his unwavering support and dedication to the development of the Professional Practice of Landscape Horticulture.
According to a statement released by the Chairperson and Secretary of the Local Organising Committee (LoC), Mrs. Victoria Idowu and Mr. Donatus Ilem, respectively, other distinguished individuals to be recognised in the individual category include: Dr. (Mrs.) Taiwo Adamson, Former Provost, Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Aro; Professor Steve Afolami, former Vice-Chancellor, Augustine University, Ilara-Epe; and Dr. Adetayo Ajayi, former Provost, Federal College of Education (FCE), Osiele.
The statement further revealed that the Ogun State Government and Babcock University, Ilishan-Remo, made the list under the Government/Institutional Category.
