The University Library has declared two “Weeks of Amnesty”, beginning from 3rd to 17th October, during which registered library users could be pardoned to return overdue books in their possession.
A release by the University Librarian, Dr. (Mrs) Mulikat Salaam, informed that such books, if returned within the stipulated period, will not attract overdue fines.
The Library had therefore urged staff and students, with overdue lease of library books to take advantage of the “Amnesty Week”, to return them.
The Library Management warned that it will not hesitate to publish names of defaulters, that failed to comply with the grace period and forward such to the Bursary for deduction of fines.
