The Nigerian Library Association (NLA), Ogun State Chapter, is set to host the maiden edition of the Dr. T. M. Salisu Legacy Lecture Series on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL), by 11:00 a.m.
According to a statement issued by the University Librarian, Prof. Abayomi Owolabi, the lecture series is being organised in honour of Dr. Taofiq Salisu, the pioneer University Librarian of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), in recognition of his remarkable contributions to the advancement of academic scholarship and the development of the Nimbe Adedipe Library.
The lecture, themed “Libraries in a Changing World: Repositioning for National Development,” would feature Prof. Zakari Muhammad of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, as the Guest Lecturer. He is expected to provide insights into the evolving role of libraries in supporting national development.
