… Assesses Civil Engineering Programme
The National Universities Commission (NUC) Accreditation Team for the evaluation of the Civil Engineering Programme today, November 21, 2024, arrived at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) and they paid a Courtesy Visit to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde before commencing their primary assignment. The visit was part of their mission to ensure the Civil Engineering Programme meets the established accreditation criteria.
The Team, led by Prof. Seidu Mohammed from the Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUTMINNA), included Prof. Ibrahim Yusuf of the University of Ilorin and Mrs. Funkẹ Sule, representing the NUC.
In his remarks, Prof. Mohammed reaffirmed the Team’s dedication to conducting a thorough and objective evaluation to promote educational excellence. He noted that the Team was in the University to ensure that the purpose of the assignment was achieved in a manner that aligned with national and global standards.
Welcoming the Team, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde expressed confidence in the University’s robust resources, including highly qualified personnel and state-of-the-art facilities, all supported by a strong Quality Assurance framework. He highlighted FUNAAB’s reputation for delivering exceptional academic programmes, groundbreaking research, and quality-driven education.
The visit concluded with a Wrap-up and Exit meeting where the Team commended Prof. Kehinde for his humility and outstanding leadership qualities, acknowledging the University’s efforts toward maintaining excellence in higher education.
