The accreditation process for various academic programmes at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) continued on November 29, 2024, with the arrival of another Team from the National Universities Commission (NUC) to evaluate the Mechanical Engineering programme.
Led by Prof. Muhamod Dauda, the Accreditation Team paid a Courtesy Visit to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde before beginning their official duties.
Welcoming the Team, the Vice-Chancellor highlighted the global importance of the assignment and expressed the University’s willingness to receive feedback and suggestions for improvement. He emphasised the FUNAAB’s commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.
Represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Development), Prof. Kola Adebayo, the Vice-Chancellor stressed the importance of the accreditation process in ensuring that the University provided the best education possible.
In attendance at the courtesy call were key University officials, including the Dean, College of Engineering, Prof. Olawale Dairo, and the Ag. Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Dr. Nurudeen Adekunle. Representatives from the NUC who were present were Professors Solomon Nwigbo and Livinus Odum.
