The University has commended Dr Ayoni Surajudeeen Ogunbayo, a Doctorate Degree graduate in the Department of Plant Breeding and Seed Technology, who recently won the National Universities Doctoral Thesis Award Scheme, organized by the National Universities Commission, as part of its “Fifty Plus One (50+1)” activities.
Dr Ogunbayo, who is currently working with the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture, Liberia, was commended alongside his supervisor, Professor David Ojo, Head of the recipient’s Department, for his outstanding Doctoral Thesis titled, “Genetic Variation, Correlation Studies and Multi-Locational Performance of Lowland NERICA Rice” (2011).
The Registrar of the University, Mr Matthew Ayoola, enjoined the duo to sustain the effort at contributing their best to teaching and research.
