Parents and Guardians of candidates of the just excluded Post-UTME Screening have marveled, describing as amazing and exceptional the smooth conduct of the exercise, declaring that other tertiary institutions in the country have a lot to learn and emulate from FUNAAB’s deep sense of organization, decency, decorum and enhanced service delivery.

Some of the parents who spoke exclusively to FUNAAB Bulletin under the comfort of the cosy shade of sprawling canopy specially provided for them by the university poured encomiums profusely on Professor Kolawole Salako-led management and expressed profound gratitude for a job well done.

Obviously impressed and elated by the magnitude of the pro-active conduct of the exercise, a parent, Mr. Adewale Afinjuomo who is a staff of Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) declared thus; “This is the first time I’m seeing something like this. I’ve been to other universities, especially the older ones for Post-UTME, they are far from being organized like you are. They don’t even care like you did for candidates who came for Post-UTME”.

He continued, “I have learnt a lot from what has happened today. You guys are fantastic, unique and first of its kind in Nigeria. I think other institutions should copy this from FUNAAB”.

Mr. Afinjuomo who disclosed that he brought his daughter for the Post-UTME urged the University Management to sell this idea to other universities, polytechnics, College of Educations and secondary schools in Nigeria to ensure smooth conduct of examinations at all levels.

If Mr. Afinjuomo positively got more than what he bargained for, another parent, a Teacher, Mrs. Oluwatoyin Odunola Ogundoyin who came from Ibadan described her experience as fantastic.

Her words, “my experience is fantastic. I didn’t even expect it. The organization, the advice given by your Guidance and Counselling Unit, the canopies, FUNAAB really knows what she’s doing”.

She added, “what I saw here today is never done in any other university and I’ve been to some of them”.

Checks revealed that parents of candidates among other things were apparently impressed by the shed of canopies specially provided for them by the University as shade to protect them from the scorching sun.

They were also elated by the counselling and vital information on student/management relationship which the Guidance and Counseling Unit reeled out to them verbally and through the aid of audio and visual gadgets.

Findings further revealed that a cross-section of the parents were excited by the orderliness.
