Presidential Directives on Restriction of Movement in some States of the Federation

President Muhammadu Buhari, who is also the Visitor to the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, in his address to the Nation today 29th March, 2020 reviewed the steps being taken to combat the spread of COVID-19 pandemic ravaging different countries of the world, including Nigeria. As part of the measures, he has directed the complete restriction of movements in Lagos and Ogun States as well as FCT for 14 days starting from 11pm on Monday 30th March, 2020.
In full compliance with the presidential directives, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Felix Kolawole Salako has directed the closure of the University for two weeks with effect from Monday 30th March, 2020. This is to allow any staff who may wish to utilize the period allowed for movement the opportunities to do so .

All staff except the Security Staff and others on essential duties in the University Farms and Health Centre, are directed to stay at home during this period in line with the order for restriction of movements. The Heads of these respective Units shall provide guidelines for the various staff needed for essential duties. Suffice to add that any staff can be called upon to provide specific services during the period if the need arises.

The Vice-Chancellor wishes to admonish all staff to adhere strictly to the advice and directives of the Health Professionals and Security Agencies in the fight to end this pandemic while maintaining total hygiene during and after this period.
