The Head of Department, Soil Science and Land Management (SS & LM), in the College of Plant Science and Crop Production (COLPLANT), Prof. Kayode Adesodun has been appointed as the pioneer Rector of the College of Agriculture and Technology, Isan-Ekiti, in Ekiti State.

Prof. Adesodun who was once the Rector of the College when it was a Monotechnic about five years ago, was re-appointed by the Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi following the upgrading of the College to a Polytechnic .

The upgrading which was carried out by the Ekiti State House of Assembly is to enable the polytechnic fulfill the mission and vision of the State Governor for the state.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kolawole Salako had congratulated Prof. Adesodun on his well deserved appointment as the new Rector of the Polytechnic.
