Prof. Folorunso Triumphs in World Scientists, University Rankings

In a remarkable achievement for the academia, Prof. Olusegun Folorunso of the Department of Computer Science at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), has emerged victorious in the prestigious Alper-Doger (AD) Scientific Index Ranking 2024.

The ranking, unveiled recently by AD Scientific Index, marks a significant milestone in Prof. Folorunso’s illustrious career.

According to the publication, Prof. Folorunso, distinguished in the field of Computer Science, clinched the top spot in Computer Science, positioning himself as the leading authority in his field within FUNAAB.

Among his peers nationwide, he secured a commendable sixth position out of 481 contenders in Nigeria. Across the African continent, his expertise garnered him the impressive 147th rank out of 2,448 scholars evaluated.

Globally, Prof. Folorunso stood tall, securing the 18,670th position out of 58,548 luminaries assessed worldwide.

Delving into Engineering Technology, Prof. Folorunso’s prowess shone once again, and inspite of being one of ten scholars considered from FUNAAB, he claimed the ninth spot, showcasing his multidisciplinary expertise.

In the Nigerian context, he maintained a formidable standing, securing the 146th position out of 2,242 contenders.

Across Africa, his contributions were recognised, landing him the 1,244th rank out of 11,142 scholars evaluated.

On the global stage, Prof. Folorunso’s impact was palpable, securing the 78,514,004th position out of 207,769 individuals assessed worldwide.

The AD Scientific Index Ranking stands as a testament to the academic excellence and dedication of scholars within the university system.

Prof. Folorunso’s triumph underscores the importance of relentless pursuit of knowledge and innovation in advancing scientific frontiers.

The Alper-Doger Scientific Index is a ranking and analysis system based on the scientific performance, and the added value of the scientific productivity of individual scientists, unlike other systems that evaluate journals and universities.
