All is set for the 72nd Inaugural Lecture of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), to be delivered by Prof. Samuel Adeniran Oluwalana, on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at the Oluwafemi Balogun Ceremonial Building.

A Professor of Forest Resources Management, Department of Forestry and Wildlife Management,  College of Environmental Resources Management (COLERM), will be exploring the theme “Forest: A Boundless Health and Wealth Territory”.

Prof. Oluwalana bagged his B.Sc in Forestry and M.Sc and Ph.D in Forestry Resources Management, all from the University of Ibadan (UI), Ibadan, Oyo State.

He is a member of various academic and professional bodies, including Farm Management Association of Nigeria (FAMAN); Forestry Association of Nigeria (FAN); Member, Forests, Trees and People Network International Rural Development Centre, Sweden University of Agricultural Science, Uppsala, Sweden; Beekeepers Association of Nigeria, among others.

He has also received several awards, both national and international, with many publications to his credit.

Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde is the Chairman of the Lecture.
