The bride and groom, Mr. and Mrs. Ehime Julius Okojie during the solemnization of the holy matrimony

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Professor Christopher Onwuka, has given out his daughter, Valerie, in a wedlock to Ehimen, son of a former Vice-Chancellor of the University and the Executive Secretary, National Universities Commission, Professor Julius Okojie.

Solemnization of the holy matrimony was held penultimate Saturday at Christ the King Catholic Church, Odo-Ona, Ibadan, while the traditional Engagement Ceremony was held the previous day in Abeokuta.

While delivering the homily, the Catholic Archbishop of Ibadan, Most Rev. Felix Alaba Job, noted that there was more to marriage than the celebration and glamour.

Archbishop Job frowned at the increasing rate of divorce, which he noted was against the wishes of God.

The prelate charged the new couple to love each other and enabled a strong bond without undue interference to be deeply rooted in the relationship.

The wedding was attended by dignitaries from all walks of life, with the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Oluwafemi Olaiya Balogun, leading Principal Officers and top officials of the University.
