The Shanghai ranking also has a subject component- Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS). In the 2022 GRAS ranking which was also released today, Nigeria featured as follows:
Veterinary Sciences: Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta- 201 to 300
Dentistry and Oral Sciences: Obafemi Awolowo University- 201 to 300
Psychology: University of Nigeria- 401 to 500.
Congratulations to Baba Rasheed, congratulations to UI, FUNAAB and OAU. With the 2021-2027 strategic plan on ranking now being implemented by NUC, the world will of ranking will quake with the huge appearance of Nigerian universities in the top 200.
