Prof. Lateef Sanni, Executive Director of the Nigerian Stored Products Research Institute (NSPRI), has been appointed to the Board of the prestigious World Agriculture Forum (WAF).
The nomination reflected Prof. Sanni’s significant contributions to agricultural research, sustainability, and global food system innovation. His track record included his role as former Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Development) at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) and as a Visiting Professor of Food Science and Technology at the Natural Resources Institute (NRI).
Prof. Sanni, renowned for his work in Post-Harvest Management, the Cassava Value Chain, and Food Processing, has been dedicated to advancing agricultural practices aligned with the WAF’s mission to shape the future of global agriculture through equitable and sustainable development.
Meanwhile, WAF is a leading global body that drives agricultural progress through key initiatives, including the World Agriculture Summit, the World Agriculture Prize, and the World Agriculture Fair.
