The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, has approved the appointment of Prof. Bosede Sotiloye as the new Chairperson of the University’s Publications Committee, in recognition of her proven leadership capacity and commitment to academic excellence.
Prof. Sotiloye, a distinguished scholar in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) from the Institute of Communication and General Studies (ICGNS), would serve a two-year term spanning March 26, 2026, to March 25, 2028.
Her appointment is a testament to the University’s confidence in her ability to provide quality leadership and contribute meaningfully to the advancement of scholarly publishing and institutional development.
The newly appointed Chairperson, who is also the University’s 104th Inaugural Lecturer, formally assumed office following a brief handover ceremony from the immediate past Chairperson, Prof. Helen Bodunde.
Prof. Sotiloye is expected to bring her wealth of academic and administrative experience to bear in strengthening the University’s publication processes and enhance its visibility in the global academic community.
