The Department of Mechatronics Engineering, College of Engineering (COLENG) FUNAAB has expressed gratitude and commended the Prof. Kolawole Salako – led Management for acquiring the much needed ultramodern equipment for the Department and providing the enabling atmosphere for it to develop and build Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) equipment.

The duo of erudite retired Professor of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, Prof. Lawrence Olakunle Kehinde who is on contract with the University and Acting Head of Department, Dr. Adekunle Oyelami expressed appreciation in a chat with FUNAAB Bulletin.

According to Prof. Kehinde who retired from Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife in 2018, “I got to FUNAAB in 2019 and I have really enjoyed myself here.  All the Lecturers I met here are good”.

“However, one thing I want to say is that the University has done a lot since I joined the Department of Mechatronics Engineering.  The Professor Kolawole Salako – led Management supplied many equipment that was not here before, so I must thank the Vice-Chancellor”.

Corroborating him, the Acting HOD, Dr. Oyelami said, “The PLC is already a well established technology but the issue is that you have it incorporated in hi-tech equipment”.

“For instance, our University Management led by Prof. Kolawole Salako just acquired such for us, I mean hi-tech equipment.  I believe it must have cost the University a fortune.  This Department cannot but thank the Administration of Prof. Kolawole Salako enough for being there for us”,  he added.

Only recently, the Prof. Kolawole Salako led Management bought and presented an ultra-modern hi-tech DLEA-32 PLC Designer Training System for the training of students in the Department.
