The Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA) has appealed to members of the University community, to exercise patience as the on-going reconstruction work on the Camp-Alabata Road progresses.

Speaking in an exclusive telephone interview with FUNAAB Bulletin, the Progress Officer of FERMA, Ogun State, Engr. Monday Olaogun, said the hardship experienced by motorists on the road, last week, was due to the incessant down pour.

“You can see that before the rain started, it was motorable to an extent when we were working, but it was very unfortunate that when the rain came, there was no way one can stop it”, he stated.

According to him, raining is a natural occurrence, which could not be prevented but hoped that with more sunny days ahead, the marshy road will become motorable.

Engr. Monday, however, appealed to members of the University community to bear with them while the reconstruction exercise lasted.
