General Requirements for Academic Positions

Lecturer II (CONUASS 03: N2,887,448 – N3,366,138)

Candidates should possess a Ph.D. in any of the areas of specialization where vacancy exists, in addition to a good Bachelor (minimum of Second-Class Lower Division) and Master’s degrees in the relevant field. In addition, the candidate must be registered with relevant professional body.

Applicants to Departments in the College of Veterinary Medicine must possess the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) Degree. In addition, applicants must be registered with the Veterinary Council of Nigeria (VCN) and possess the current license to practice Veterinary Medicine.

Non-Teaching Staff Positions/Units

A.  Registry

1. Administrative Officer II (CONTISS 7)
A good honours degree (Second Class Lower Division minimum)in Humanities/social Sciences /Management or relevant discipline from a recognized University.

2. Data Processing Officer (Secretary) (CONTISS 6)
Five (5) O’level credits passes at not more than 2 sittings including English Language and Mathematics with a Professional Diploma in Secretarial Studies or Diploma in Office Technology and Management or Diploma in Data Processing or with Professional Training Certificate in Data Processing or Word Processing or IDPM or ICSAN with a Typing Speed of 50WPM.

B. Bursary

1. Accountant II (CONTISS 7)
A good honours degree (Second Class Lower Division minimum)in Accountancy from a recognized University.

C. Health Services

1. Medical Officer (CONMESS 3)
M.B.B.S. or MB.BCH or equivalent qualifications. Must be registered with Medical/Dental Council of Nigeria.

2. Staff Nurse (CONHESS 7)
Registered Nurse/Midwife duly registered with NMCN.

D. Other Departments / Units

1. Laboratory Technologist II (CONTISS 7)
HND / Final Diploma or equivalent registerable with relevant professional bodies.

2. System Programmer II (CONTISS 7)
A good honours degree (minimum of Second-Class Lower Division) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Informatics, or any related discipline from a recognized university, or equivalent qualifications. Applicants must also provide proven evidence of software development projects in .NET Core, infrastructure management, and software provisioning.

3. Experimental Supervisor/Foreman (CONTISS 6)
National Diploma in Animal Health / Agriculture / Forestry / Fisheries / Wildlife / Environmental / Horticulture Superintendent from a recognized Institution.
