The Student Affairs Division of the University has directed all Part-Time Degree/ Sandwich Students of the University to urgently regularize their admission documentations with the Joint Admissions Matriculation Board (JAMB).

The directive was contained in a circular signed by the Dean, Student Affairs, Prof. Mobolaji Omemu and it is in line with a recent stipulation by the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).

According to the Dean, NYSC has requested all Part-time students in tertiary Institutions to regularize their admission and obtain letters of Admission from the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), in order to aid their documentations.

The Circular further stated that the directive is in furtherance of efforts by the agency to have accurate data of undergraduate students in all Nigerian Universities and other tertiary institutions, adding that JAMB has integrated the admission process of candidates of Part-time Degree Programme into the Central Admission Processing System (CAPS).

Prof Omemu who revealed that NYSC has warned that any Part-time student without regularization of admission would henceforth not partake in the National Service, advised all Part-time students who enrolled in the Nigerian Tertiary Institutions to visit the JAMB e-facility platform immediately to apply and register their documents individually.

All students are therefore requested to carry out the process at any JAMB approved CBT Centre and fill JAMB Indemnity Form in the link provided by JAMB at its website for regularization.

The release further explained that the form is to be endorsed and signed by the Dean, School of Continuing Education (SCE) or Part-time Studies of the Institution after completion by the students, for onward submission to the JAMB Office.

After approval of the indemnity forms by JAMB, students are advised to visit the JAMB Website to print their Admission letters and have their respective registration numbers.
