In a bid to equip students of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) with essential 21st-century skills, River Bank Technologies and Engineering Services Ltd. has trained 250 students in Data Analysis and Product Design, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.

The intensive Five-Day Training focused on AutoCAD-based product design and data analysis tools, aiming to boost students’ employability and technical competence in line with global standards.

Speaking during the programme, the Team Lead and the Director of Training and Technical Services, Mr. Joseph Ojo, disclosed that River Bank Technologies has partnered with CAD Centre, a renowned Indian brand, to provide internationally recognised certification. “The certificate obtained after this training is accepted in 30 countries worldwide,” he stated.

The initiative was facilitated through the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), which was committed to training Engineering students across Nigeria free of charge, with River Bank Technologies leading the implementation at FUNAAB.

Representing the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Olukayode Akinyemi, expressed the University’s gratitude to River Bank Technologies for their impactful contribution. He lauded the initiative, describing it as a laudable gesture that aligns with FUNAAB’s mission to produce industry-ready graduates.

Also present at the event were the Dean, College of Physical Sciences (COLPHYS), Prof. Adio Akinwale, and other representatives of River Bank Technologies.

The training not only supported students’ academic and professional development but also aligned with global development goals including SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
