The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) Senate Committee on Examination Results (SECOCER), on September 17, 2024, honoured its past members for their meritorious service to the Committee and the University at large.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, while addressing the awardees, commended SECOCER for its excellent work since its establishment, noting that the Committee has consistently provided students with standardised results that accurately reflect their performance.
Prof. Kehinde congratulated the awardees, encouraging them to continue excelling in their various roles. He also urged the current Committee members to emulate the past members’ good work and strive for excellence.
Earlier in his Welcome Address, SECOCER Chairman Prof. Olusegun Idowu appreciated the Vice-Chancellor for his support and congratulated the awardees on their well-deserved honour.
Speaking on behalf of the awardees, Prof. Babatunde Idowu expressed gratitude to the Vice-Chancellor and SECOCER for the honour. He highlighted SECOCER’s contribution to his success as Vice-Chancellor of Glorious Vision University, Ogwa, Edo State, and appreciated the Committee’s error-free results, which have earned no complaints from external parties.
Also, the immediate past Chairman of SECOCER and former Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Christian Ikeobi; the former Vice-Chancellor, of Landmark University, Omu-Aran and Philomat University, Abuja, Prof. Adeniyi Olayanju and the immediate past Dean, College of Animal Science and Livestock Production (COLANIM), Prof. Olusiji Sowande also commended the efforts of SECOCER in shaping the University and its members. They charged the current members to retain the spirit which the Committee was known for.
Earlier, the Committee led by its Chairman, Prof. Olusegun Idowu, presented a Service Award Plaque to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, in his office.
The awardees were Prof. Babatunde Idowu, Prof. Olusiji Sowande, Prof. Jonathan Atungwu, Prof. Abiodun Obayelu, Prof. Abdullateef Shotuyo, Prof. Moruf Adebisi, Prof. Adeniyi Olayanju, Prof. Jimoh Olanite and Prof. Adesina Agboola.
Others were Prof. Olajide Sobukola, Prof. Oluseye Onabanjo, Prof. Olusiji Smith, Prof. Israel Osunsina, Prof. Adegoke Bakare, Dr. Olatundun Kajihausa, Dr. Olusegun Oduwaye, Prof. Olawale Dairo and Mr. Adewusi Agbotoba.
