Introduction
The Cattle Production Venture (CPV) is a voluntary cooperative organization established by FUNAAB in year 2012 with the aim of accepting cattle from stakeholders; providing safe boarding, lodging and breeding of registered animals; handling and treating the animals on the recommendation of the Veterinary Doctor in charge and getting internally generated revenue (IGR) for the University. Stakeholders include members of staff of the University and other interested members outside the University.
The obligations of stakeholders are to bring live animals or pay for the purchase of animals; pay all dues on time and attend meetings when called upon; and abide by all rules and regulations prescribed by the CPV Management Committee.
Objectives
- To work out the modality of rearing and maintaining cattle on campus
- To rear and maintain cattle on campus profitably
- To give suggestions on how the University can improve on her internally generated revenue
