Due to the incessant reports of off-campus robbery incidents, the University Management, in conjunction with the Nigeria Police Force, and other security agencies in Ogun State conducted a full survey of most of the off-campus hostels owned by private individuals. It was observed that some students have chosen to live in isolated areas far inside the adjoining communities. These places are usually the soft target areas because there are no security arrangements covering them and they are also not easily accessible. The University Management strongly advised all students residing in such isolated areas to move closer to campus area, which is populated by students, to aid the protection of lives and properties. Students are further charged to desist from night movements when it becomes difficult for security and identification purposes.
