The Management has charged the newly redeployed staff not to see their redeployment as political but rather as a confidence reposed in them to impact their new offices positively, in line with the ongoing drive to make the University World-Class.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olusola Bandele Oyewole  stated this while addressing Senior Registry Staff at a One-Day Seminar.

Professor Oyewole while projecting into the future of the University stressed the urgent need to reposition the Registry and other arms of the University for greater performance.

Dropping the hint of a concluded re-organization of the Registry, the Vice-Chancellor admonished them that when the posting is out, those redeployed should take it in good fate and see it as an attestation that “we need you to cause a positive change where you are posted to and not as if we don’t like your face”.

He pointed out that “quite often, many people think leadership is synonymous to office.  Leadership is having a vision and getting people to own that vision”.

“May I charge you that wherever you are posted to, it was borne out of our genuine intention.  Don’t say that we don’t like you but so see it as we need you. Therefore, get up and prepare your road map to develop your new office and the University at large”, he added.
