Senator Shuaib Afolabi Salisu, representing Ogun Central Senatorial District in the 10th National Assembly, would on Monday, April 29, 2024, pay a working visit to the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) to assess the University’s facilities for possible areas of assistance by the National Assembly.
His visit also aims to discuss other challenges facing the University and explore avenues for a way forward.
An esteemed Fellow of the Computer Society of Nigeria (FCSN) and currently serving as the Chairman of the Senate Committee on ICT & Cyber Security, Senator Salisu has showcased unwavering dedication to enhancing education in his constituency.
Notably, he has facilitated access to free JAMB forms for over 1,000 deserving candidates within his Senatorial District.
With a background as a former Chief of Staff to the Ogun State Governor, Senator Salisu brings to the table a wealth of experience as a certified Business Intelligence Consultant and a proficient administrator.
His multifaceted expertise spans corporate, public, and non-profit sectors, earning him recognition as an award-winning information and communications expert and a prominent figure in the ICT industry.
Meanwhile, the Distinguished Senator is also expected to have an interactive session with Principal Officers, all CODAD members, and all Non-Teaching staff on CONTISS 13 and above, including all Agricultural Officers from AMREC, DUFARMS, IFSERAR and COBFAS at the Red Chamber by 12 noon.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, extends a warm welcome to Senator Salisu and eagerly anticipates the forthcoming assistance from the Distinguished Senator.
