Abstract
Hermaphroditic (female) florets account for about 6.2% of the total floret per spike of T. Catappa.  The ratios of male to hermaphrodit florets are sixteen to one (16:1).

In every four (Female) floret, average of one florets, an average of one floret sets fruit with a resultant fruiting efficiency of 26.1% for these trees in the Jerico area of Ibadan.Sex ratio and fruit set in Terminalia catappa Linn.  Litter-8 studies in the Jerico area of Ibadan, (Latitude 7°17′ and Longitude 30301E).  The distribution of male and hermaphroditic florets per spike and the number of inflorescence per twig were observed.  Fruit set per twig per spike were also considered to evaluate the fruit productivity of T. Catapa.
