The newly elected Executive members of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU), Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) Chapter, have expressed their readiness to collaborate with the University Management in accelerating progress, as well as promoting growth and development in FUNAAB.
Led by its Chairman, Comrade Olugbenga Alayode, the SSANU-FUNAAB Executives paid a Familiarisation Visit to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, today, May 29, 2025, at the Vice-Chancellor’s Conference Room.

In his remarks, Comrade Alayode conveyed the Union’s commitment to fostering a harmonious working relationship with the University administration. Responding, the Vice-Chancellor warmly welcomed the new executive members, describing SSANU as a critical stakeholder in the University. He stressed the importance of mutual respect, open communication, and unity of purpose in achieving collective goals.

Prof. Kehinde further described FUNAAB as a closely-knit Academic Community, urging the new SSANU leadership to foster greater unity within their ranks and strengthen institutional cohesion. He also assured the Union of the Management’s responsiveness to welfare matters, noting that staff wellbeing remains a priority.
