Short Profile

Mr. Abayomi O. Bankole is an Assistant Lecturer and young water professional (IWA) with strong background in Water Resources and Engineering Hydrology. He joined the service of the University on 1st August, 2019 as a Graduate Assistant, in the Department of Water Resources Management and Agrometeorology. Bankole obtained his Bachelor of Water Resources Management and Hydrology, and his Master of Science degree in Water Security and Safety Management from the same department. Bankole is a fellow of Agricultural Research and Innovative Forum for Africa (ARIFA), and a recipient of Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) and Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa (FARA) scholarship, through which he obtained his second Master’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering at Universidade Estadual Paulista (Sao Paulo State University – UNESP), Sao Paulo, Brazil. His research interest cut across Water and Wastewater Treatment, Engineering Hydrology, Hydrogeology, Sanitation Technology, and Application of Artificial Intelligence in Water Systems’ Modeling. Bankole is actively engaged in many grant projects anda reviewer for Heliyon Journal (Cell Press) and Journal of Applied Geochemistry (Elsevier). He has authored and co-authored articles in high impact journals.
