Professor Petra .B. ABDULSALAM-SAGHIR is a Researcher and Lecturer with a profound
expertise in gender-inclusive agriculture and rural development and social inclusion studies.
With a Ph.D. in Agricultural Extension and Rural Development and core specialization in
Gender and Rural Development Studies, she possesses a remarkable record of accomplishment
of driving transformative change by advancing gender equality within agricultural systems. Her
research excellence are evident by her proficiency in conducting comprehensive gender-focused
studies using both qualitative and quantitative methodologies. Petra Abdulsalam-Saghir's
capacity development and mentoring skills are evident in her adeptness at designing and
delivering impactful training programs that empower agricultural extension professionals and
young people with gender-sensitive approaches and monitoring and evaluation tools.
