Short Profile

Dr. Yetunde Adebayo is a registered dietician and Lecturer in the Nutrition and Dietetics Department of Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) Ogun State. She is a native of Ijebu-Ode in Ijebu-Ode Local Government Area of Ogun State. She had her primary and secondary education in Ijebu-Ode. She attended Ogun State Polytechnic, Ojere in Abeokuta now Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Ojere, Abeokuta and received the National Diploma in Food Science and Technology in the year 1998. She proceeded to the University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (UNAAB) now Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) where she obtained a BSc degree in the Home Science and Management (Nutrition and Dietetics Option) in the year 2001. In 2005, she bagged an M. Sc. in Nutrition and Dietetics from the same institution and a PGDE in Teacher Education from the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Oyo State in the year 2009 and in 2019, she obtained a Ph.D. in Nutrition and Dietetics at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Ogun State.

She joined the service of Ogun State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology in 2004 as an Education Officer (EO) and rose to the post of a Principal Education Officer (PEO) in 2011 before joining the service of the Bells University of Technology, Ota, Ogun State in 2011. While working with the State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, she was an associate Lecturer in the Nutrition and Dietetics Programme of the then College of Food Sciences (COLFOODS) in Bells University of Technology, Ota, Ogun State till 2011 before she fully joined the University service in the Chemical and Food Sciences Department (Nutrition and Dietetics Programme). In August, 2019, she started teaching at her Alma Mater - Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Ogun State as a Lecturer in the Nutrition and Dietetics Department. She is a member of the Nutrition Society of Nigeria (NSN), American Society for Nutrition and Institute of Dietetics of Nigeria (IDN). Her research and teaching covers Diet Therapy and Hospital Practice, Assessment of Nutritional Status, General and Applied Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition, Recent Advances in Human Nutrition, Public Health Nutrition and Community Nutrition.
