Short Profile

Born in 1961, ADEBIYI is from the Ologbenla-Giesi ruling family in Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria. He had a Bachelor Degree in Russian Language, but Masters and Doctoral Degrees in Communication – all at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. ADEBIYI, AlphonsusAdeagbo , for so many years worked with the Public Sector, but joined the academia at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Nigeria in November 2009, teaching the Use of English and Writing and Literary Appreciation at the Undergraduate Level; but Communication courses at the Graduate School. He is a member of some Learned Societies/Professional Associations among which are: English Language Teachers Association of Nigeria (an affiliate of International Association of Teachers of English as Foreign Language – IATEFL); National Association of Teachers and Researchers in English as a Second Language (NATRESL); African Council for Communication Education; Nigerian Institute of Management (chartered) and International Literacy Association (ILA). He is married with children.
