ADEDIPE Abioye (Ph.D, FHATMAN, MITP, MNHCI, MNIMN, ANIPR)

Dr. Adedipe is a Lecturer 1 and the current Coordinator of the Department of Hospitality and Tourism, College of Food Science and Human Ecology, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB).

He started his career in Hospitality and Tourism management with a National Diploma (ND) from the Ondo State Polytechnic, Owo and graduated as the best student. He obtained Higher National Diploma (HND) with a distinction and the best student from the Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi. He also obtained two Post Graduate Diplomas in Marketing and Public Relations.

Dr. Adedipe also attended Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye for his Bachelor of Science degree and obtained a First Class honour and was the best student. He attended the University of Ado-Ekiti for his Master degree in Recreation and Tourism. He had his PhD in Hospitality Management from Kenyatta University, Nairobi, Kenya.

His initial work experiences were acquired from Premier Hotel, Lafia Hotel and Davis Hotel all in Ibadan and Hotel Support Services in Lagos. He had over twelve years working experience with Sheraton International Organization in Sheraton Lagos Hotel and Towers in various sections and capacities. He is a professional consultant and trainer in the field of Hospitality and Tourism. He was a former Lecturer in the Department of Hospitality and Tourism, Auchi Polytechnic, Auchi, Edo State. He was the former pioneer Head of Department, Abuja Tourism Development Board. He was also the former pioneer Head of Travels and Tours, FCT Tourism Department, Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, Nigeria.

Dr. Adedipe started his academic career in FUNAAB as an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Food service and Tourism in 2013. He was Lecturer II in 2016 and Lecturer I in 2019 and currently serving as the Coordinator of the Department of Hospitality and Tourism from 2020 to date. In 2015, he won the Federal Government TetFund Scholarship to pursue his Ph.D programme in Kenya. He has published 20 journal articles in reputable national and international journals.

He has been engaged in many national accreditation assignments by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), Kaduna. He was a former External Moderator of the Department of Hospitality and Tourism, Federal Polytechnic, Bida, Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi, Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin and Rufus Giwa Polytectnic, Owo. He was also a former External Resource person to the National Open University, Abuja. He is the current and pioneer Coordinator, Ekiti State Chapter, Federation of Tourism Association of Nigeria (FTAN).

Dr. Adedipe is a member of several professional bodies. He is a Fellow of the Hospitality and Tourism Management Association of Nigeria (FHATMA), Member of the Institute of Tourism Professionals (FITP), Member of the Nigeria Hotel and Catering Institute (MNHCI), Member of National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (MNIMN) and Associate member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (ANIPR).
