Short Profile

Adekitan Abimbola Adetounwas born on the 9th of November, 1977 into the family of late Mr Babatunde Agboola Oluremi Adekitan and Deaconess (Mrs) Temitayo Adeola Olufemi Adekitan. She attended Fazil-Omar Ahmaddiyya Primary School, Lagos State from 1983-1989 and proceeded to Ebute-Elefun High School, Lagos from 1989 – 1995. She had her First degree in Bachelor of Water Resources Management (Hydrology option) in the year 1998 – 2004 at the Department of Water Resources Management and Agrometeorology, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta. She continued with her Master’s degree in Water Resources Management between the year 2006-2011. She started her P.hD immediately in the same Department and bagged her degree between2012-2018.She has risen through the ranks of her academic pursuit as an Assistant Lecturer, Lecturer II, Lecturer I and Senior Lecturer on the 2023 promotion exercise at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta Ogun State, Nigeria. She has used almost 10 years as a lecturer in the University and has taught several courses at both Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels. She is involved in teaching, and has supervised 55 Undergraduate students and co–supervised three (3) Postgraduate students. She is a member of Central Timetable Committee, and a member of the College Board in the College of Veterinary Medicine and the Seminar Coordinator for undergraduate students. She is also involved in Departmental Assignments, College Assignment and University assignment as well as Community Services. She has received a lot of letter of Commendation from the Vice Chancellor and belongs to various professional bodies. She has to her credit publications in both local and foreign learned journals, and in Conference Proceedings. She does her work with diligence and enthusiasm. She has attended different Conferences with papers read, and belongs to Academic Professional bodies.
