ADEKOLA, Oyeronke Adenike

Short Profile

Dr.  Oyeronke A Adekola is an expert in agric. extension, rural development and livelihood studies with interest in capacity building, transfer and uptake of agricultural innovation for sustainable rural development, livelihood improvement and environment management among rural small holder farmers. She has a special focus on food, water, technologies and environmental issues as it affects rural systems, lives and livelihoods. She has successfully supervised over 20 undergraduate and Co-supervised 2 Masters Students.

She was the Coordinator/ Programme Leader for Training Farm and Demonstration Unit of Agricultural Media Resources and Extension Centre (AMREC) from 2021 to early 2023 when she had an intra-transfer of service to the Department of Agric. Extension and Rural Development Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta. She is a member, Agricultural Extension Society of Nigeria (AESON) Rural Sociological Association of Nigeria (RUSAN), Agricultural Society of Nigeria (ASN), Association of University Women (NAUW), Farmers Management Association of Nigeria (FAMAN), Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) and Professional Diploma in Education (PDE).

She is currently a lecturer and researcher at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta Nigeria and has a total of thirteen (13) publications in both local and international journals and three (3) Conferences proceedings.
