Dr. Nurudeen Olatunde ADEKUNLE graduated from University of Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria in 1995 with Second class honours degree in Mechanical Engineering. He proceeded for his Master degree at University of Ibadan after a year of mandatory National Youth Service. He obtained Master’s Science degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1999. He joined Comtek Nigeria Ltd., Ibadan. in 1996 where he worked for three years and rose to the position of Factory Manager. He later joined the Polytechnic Ibadan as Assistance Lecturer between 2000 and 2002. He got registered as professional engineer with Council for Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) in 2009. He joined academic and research work in 2004 after gaining employment as Assistance Lecturer in the department of Mechanical Engineering of University of Agriculture, Abeokuta Nigeria. He was awarded Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering in October, 2014.
He was promoted to the post of Lecturer II in October 2009, Lecturer I in October 1, 2010 and Senior Lecturer in October 2018. His research interests include; Solid Mechanics, Design and Production, Composite Engineering, Energy Generation and Ergonomics.
He was department postgraduate research coordinator between 2014 and 2018, SWEP Coordinator for Mechanical Engineering between 2013 and 2018, SIWES Chairman for the College of Engineering between 2017 and 2020. He is the current Acting Head of Department, Mechanical Engineering, College of Engineering, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta.
He has supervised over twenty (20) undergraduate students and ten (10) master degree students as at September, 2023.
.He has over thirty (30) publications in learned journals and conference proceedings, some of which are listed below.
