Short Profile

Professor Stephen Oluseun Adeogun started his career at the Cocoa Research Institute of Nigeria on 28th February 2002 as Research officer 1. He rose through the rank to the position of Principal Research Officer before transferring his service from Cocoa Research Institute of Nigeria Ibadan to join the service of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta on 30th September, 2009 as a Lecturer I in the Department of Agricultural Administration. He was promoted to the post of Senior Lecturer in October 1st 2012 and Reader in October 1st 2015 and finally Professor on October 1st 2018. He is involved in teaching, research and supervision of students’ projects at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Prof Adeogun has served as member of many committee in the University.

He has also served as undergraduate and postgraduate coordinator in the Department of Agricultural Administration. He was the Acting Head of Department of Agricultural Administration between year 2017 and 2019. Prof Adeogun Stephen has attended different training programmes and is equally a member of different professional bodies. He is very hard working, responsible and maintains good working relationship with colleagues within and outside the Department.

Prof Adeogun Stephen is a NUFFIC Fellow of Wageningen University Netherlands and Cochran Fellow of the United States Development of Agriculture. Prof has published several journal articles in both local and international journals. Prof Adeogun Stephen is a consultant to many national and international organizations on Agribusiness and Rural Sociology related issues.
