Short Profile

I bagged a Doctor of Veterinary degree (DVM) in 2017 from the prestigious University of Abuja, during my undergraduate study I wrote a dissertation titled ‘Prevalence of haemoparasites in local breed of Dogs in Abuja, Nigeria’ which was subsequently published.

I am currently rounding off my Masters program in Veterinary science from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, with specialization in Veterinary parasitology with an ongoing dissertation titled ‘Molecular characterization of Babesia and its vector in sheep in Abeokuta and Abuja, Nigeria’.

I was awarded a Tetfund Scholarship under the academic staff training and development category to undergo my bench work for my ongoing Masters in University of Kwazulu-natal, Durban, South Africa in 2021.

I joined the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta in July, 2019 as Lecturer II in department of Veterinary Parasitology & Entomology. Since joining the institution I have taught Veterinary courses in Parasitology at various levels (300, 400, 500 & 600 level) ranging from Veterinary helminthology, protozoology, entomology and parasitology clinics. I also service the Veterinary Teaching Hospital as a registrar in attending to clinical cases presented for treatment.

My research focus is in Veterinary protozoology in relation to genetic diversity of infectious diseases and vaccine development using molecular techniques, bioinformatics & immunoformatics.
