ADEWUNMI Olajumoke Olusola

Prof. (Mrs.) Olajumoke Olusola Olufunke ADEWUMI is a Professor of Ruminant Production at the Federal University of Agriculture (FUNAAB), Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria and Registered Animal Scientist with twenty-three years uninterrupted cognate engagement in academic research activities. She started her career as Assistant Lecturer at the former University of Ado-Ekiti, now designated as Ekiti State University. Professor Adewumi research interest is in the area of milk production, developing models for milk yield and milk composition, milk products, alternative feedstuffs for lactating animal and breeding.  She has supervised 90 undergraduate, four postgraduate diploma projects, thirty-two M. Agric. dissertations and two Ph.D. Theses. She has more than 80 publications in reputable journals, peer reviewed conference proceedings and chapter in book. She benefited from Obafemi Awolowo Foundation Scholarship in 1991, Chinese Academy of Science-Third World Academy of Sciences Award as a visiting scholar at the Institute of Zoology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China in 2011 and ITOCA) awardee of the 2017 and 2018 (merged) TETFund sponsored institution-based research grant as Principal Investigator. She is a member of national and international professional bodies. Also, she is a member of the University Senate of FUNAAB. She has served as Chairperson, Milk Processing Management Technical Committee. She was the Acting Head, Department of Animal Production and health. She is currently the Vice-President 1, Nigerian Association of Women in Academics (NAUW).
