I am a self-reliant and motivated Ph.D. graduate in Finance with consistent desire to become profession in the chosen academic career with special interest in Financial Management, Financial Accounting and Reporting, Corporate reporting, Finance and public policy. I have taken core courses in both Accounting and Finance couple with some panel econometrics.
I am a doctoral graduate from University of Lagos, from Department of Finance in 2021. My doctoral dissertation examined Sectoral Stock Returns Volatility and Asset Pricing Model in Nigerian Stock Exchange. I am currently running another Ph.D. (Accounting) programme at OlabisiOnabanjo University where I am at the seminal level. I had my M.Sc. (Finance – Financial Management) from Babcock University and my B.Sc. (Accounting) and MBA (Accounting & Finance) from OlabisiOnabanjo University, Ago Iwoye. To acclaim professionalism, I also have professional qualification from Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigerian (ICAN) as an Associate member.
I am currently a University lecturer at the Department of Accounting in the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta where I teach and mentor students in Accounting standards, preparation of financial statements and other key knowledge needed to be demonstrated as an Accountant. I seek to engage students by examining ways they can actively participate in class discussions. Prior joining FUNAAB in 2015, I worked as Polytechnic lecturer where I spent 9 years to the level of Director of School, which provided me with broad perspective of academic experience with enhancing passion for research. I am current Coordinator of Department of Accounting.
Dr. Agbatogun’s research interests include Financial Accounting and Reporting, Corporate Reporting, Strategic Financial Management, Quantitative Analysis in Finance and Taxation. I have tomy credit twenty-seven (27) publications are research articles in reputable national and international outfits.
