Short Profile

I assumed duty as a Veterinary Officer in Veterinary Teaching Hospital of Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta on January 2, 2008 and my appointment was confirmed on January 2, 2010. As a Veterinary officer, l dedicatedly handled clinical cases and was passionate about the health of animals especially poultry cases. I was promoted to Senior Veterinary Officer on October 1, 2011. I was employed as Lecturer II on December 27, 2013. I was promoted to the post of Lecturer I on October 1, 2017. I have served the College of Veterinary Medicine in various committees such as induction committee, farm committee, welfare committee and SIWES Committee. I am presently the course coordinator of Veterinary Biochemistry unit, an assignment I assumed in 2017 till date. I am also serving as the College of Veterinary Medicine Representative to College of Animal Science and Livestock Production. I was a visiting scholar in Department of Pathology, University of Georgia, Atlanta USA in 2021 to 2022 where l undertook part of my Ph.D bench work. As at now August 2023, l have nineteen (19) journal articles published in both local and international peer reviewed journals of which l am first author in seven (7) publications to my credit.

My research focus is using edible plants and its products to ameliorate environmental toxicological effects of drugs and chemicals in animals with nutritional biochemistry knowledge to improve the public health in man and animals.
