Short Profile

I am an Animal Molecular Biologist, and Lecturer in the Department of Animal Breeding and Genetics at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Nigeria. I hold a PhD in Animal Biotechnology and an M.Agric. in Animal Breeding and Genetics, with research experience spanning animal genetics, genomics, molecular biology, immunity, and metagenomics. My research focuses primarily on the genetic and molecular basis of important traits in poultry, including growth, immune responses, and host–microbiome interactions. I have contributed to research on genetic variation, gene polymorphisms, immune-related genes, SNPs, and gut microbiome composition in Nigerian indigenous chickens and improved poultry populations. I have published research in peer-reviewed journals and presented research findings at international scientific conferences, including the International Society of Animal Genetics
(ISAG) conference. My technical expertise includes wet-lab procedures and statistical data analysis. I am also
committed to teaching, student mentoring, and developing research capacity in animal genetics and biotechnology.
