BABATUNDE, Adewumi Surajudeen is a Lecturer in the Department of Mechatronics Engineering at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), Ogun State, Nigeria. He is a computer engineer and researcher with academic and professional interests centred on intelligent systems, artificial intelligence, machine learning, computational intelligence, and
computer engineering. His work focuses on the application and development of intelligent computational techniques for solving complex engineering and real-world problems, with particular interest in data-driven modelling, predictive systems, optimization, and intelligent decision-making.
He holds a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in Computer Engineering and has developed research expertise at the intersection of computing, engineering systems, and artificial intelligence. His academic activities encompass both teaching and research, with intelligent systems forming a major area of his teaching and scholarly interest. Through his research,
he contributes to the development and application of computational approaches capable of improving the efficiency, reliability, and intelligence of engineering systems and data-driven processes.
BABATUNDE is an Engineer registered with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), reflecting his professional standing within the engineering discipline. He has authored and co-authored research publications in reputable peerreviewed journals, contributing to scholarly discourse in intelligent computing and engineering-related applications. His research orientation combines theoretical understanding with practical engineering applications, with an emphasis on developing computationally robust and practically relevant solutions.
He was a beneficiary of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) In-Country Scholarship Scheme for Ph.D. studies in 2023, supporting his continued academic and research development. His professional and scholarly activities reflect a commitment to advancing intelligent computational technologies and strengthening the integration of artificial intelligence and computational intelligence within engineering education, research, and practice.
