Dr. Kazeem Olajide BELLO is a Registered Animal Scientist and Principal Research Fellow (Reader) at the Institute of Food Security, Environmental Resources and Agricultural Research (IFSERAR), University of Agriculture, Abeokuta. He is also anchored in the Department of Animal Production and Health of the University for his teaching activities.
Dr. Bello was appointed on July 1, 2003 as Farm Officer II and rose through the ranks to the Principal Research Fellow. He is a member: World Poultry Science Association (Nigeria Branch); Nigerian Institute of Animal Science; Animal Science Association of Nigeria and Livelihood Support Development Network (SLIDEN), Africa. A graduate of the prestigious Ijebu Muslim College, Ijebu-Ode.
He has been contributing to the improvement of teaching, research and extension mandates of the University for the Past 18 years. He is a devoted academic. He has served the University as: Liaison Officer, FUNAAB (IFSERAR)-Fulani Herdsmen on FUNAAB Land; Member, University Committee on collaboration between the University and Ogun-Osun River Basin Development Authority, Member, Time Table Management and Technical Committee (TIMTEC) among others. He has served as Acting Programme Leader, Livestock Production Research Programme, IFSERAR.
Dr. Bello served as a reliable representative of the University in four international projects (West Africa Agricultural Productivity Programme; Cassava: Adding Value for Africa Phase II; World Bank – FADAMA GUYS; World Bank – CEADESE)
He has thirty six (36) journal articles in print, seven (7) referred conference proceedings, one (1) book, two (2) chapters in book, one (1) technical report and two Awards to his credit. His area of research interest is in Mono-gastric production and health management. He has supervised forty five (52) undergraduates, eight (8) Post graduate (Masters) and One (1) PhD Students. He is a mentor to many students and colleagues.
