I had my first degree in (B. Agric.(Horticulture option) with Second class upper division from FUNAAB. But prior to that, had obtained Higher National Diploma (HND) in Agric. (Crop production) with Distinction grade, from one of the foremost Colleges of Agriculture in Nigeria (Federal College of Agriculture, Moor Plantation, Ibadan). I further obtained Postgraduate Professional Diploma in Education (PDE) from FCE Abeokuta.
In the last 14 years, I have worked in the University system with 10 years as an Agricultural Officer saddled with plant nursery handling, landscape establishment and environmental management of the University Campus. Alongside, handling practical related courses for plant based departments (Horticulture, Botany and Forestry) in the University. I have also served as skill leader in many quarters including Centre for Entrepreneurship, FUNAAB for five consecutive years. Owing to my contributions to capacity building and skill development in the University and society at large, my appointment was converted from non-teaching to academic staff position with effect from 2nd June, 2020. My high interest in capacity development led me to authoring text books in ornamental horticulture and had published many journal articles and conference proceeding papers in Environmental, Ornamental Horticulture and Agricultural fields in general. This path has thrown a positive challenge to me and I have to take the bull by the horn by taking bold step seeking further skills in research and learning at postgraduate level with my Masters program nearly completed (awaiting project defense).
