Ms. Barakat O. Layi-Adigun is an Assistant Lecturer specializing in Water Resources Management and Agrometeorology. She joined the service of the University on 1st August, 2019 as a Graduate Assistant in the Department of Water Resources Management and Agrometeorology. She has an undergraduate degree in Water Resources Management and Agrometeorology from FUNAAB and a Master of Science degree in Geography and Planning with options in Hydrology from University of Lagos. She is a dedicated researcher focused on climate change impacts on water quality and quantity, household water security, water access and supply, and water quality monitoring. She has published peer-reviewed scientific papers and advises undergraduate students on projects related to climate change and land use effects on surface and groundwater quality and household water access in Nigerian communities. Beyond academia, she is dedicated to creating a positive impact in water resource management and climate change adaptation on a global scale.
