Short Profile

Olubukola M. Odeyemi is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Horticulture, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta. She is actively involved in teaching, research and extension services centered around Postharvest Science and Technology of crops. Her research focus is on pre-harvest factor management on postharvest quality of crops, use of low-cost storage media in the extension of shelf life, produce quality assessment and cold chain management. Olubukola and her team has published in local and international peer reviewed journals and attended several conferences to present the results of their researches. She is an alumnus of the Postharvest Education Foundation, USA and won the Kader Award in 2015. She also works as a volunteer for the Postharvest Education Foundation, a non-profit organization, whose mission is to provide innovative programs that motivate and empower people to reduce food loss and waste. She actively participated in the 2020 UC Postharvest Technology of Horticultural Crops short course organized by UC Davis in California, USA. Outside her busy work schedule, she enjoys crocheting and travelling.
