Dr. Enovwo Erere Odjegba is a Senior Lecturer and researcher in the Department of Water Resources Management and Agrometeorology at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), Nigeria, where she also coordinates the university's Part-Time Degree Programme. She holds a PhD in Water Resources Management from FUNAAB (2020), an MSc in the same field (2012), and a BSc in Water Resources Management and Agrometeorology with a Hydrology option (2006, graduated with Honours), all from the same institution. Her research spans Water Science, Water Management, and Environmental Science, with particular focus on water supply sustainability, water quality and risk assessment, WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) systems, and nature-based solutions for water treatment — including work on kenaf fibre and Moringa seed biosorption for turbid water and microplastics removal. Her current project examines climate change and water management, building on her role as lead Nigerian researcher on a €122,050 Water and Development Partnership Programme (DUPC3) project on drought resilience in the Ogun River Basin (2023–2027). Dr. Odjegba has contributed significantly to water resources policy in Nigeria, having chaired the Technical Committee on National Standards for Ambient Water Quality and currently chairing the National Mirror Committee/Technical Committee on Water Quality for the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON). She has also served on the Committee of Experts on the National Standard for Irrigation Water Quality, the Working Group on the National Standard for Irrigation Water Quality, and Nigeria's National Core Group on Water Quality, and sits on an ISO technical committee on water reuse internationally. She is an Orange Knowledge Programme (OKP) Scholar and CAPES Fellow, and completed her postdoctoral fellowship at Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP), São José dos Campos, São Paulo, Brazil. Her international training also includes postgraduate work at Erasmus University Rotterdam and a short course at UNESCO-IHE Delft, alongside Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation travel grants to the Water and Health Conference at the University of North Carolina. Dr. Odjegba has authored or co-authored over 50 publications in local and international journals and conference proceedings, and supervises postgraduate research across hydrology, WASH, and climate-impact topics. She remains active in community outreach, including radio broadcasts on flooding and climate resilience and sanitation support work during the COVID-19 pandemic in Ogun State.
